Next to the house there is a beautiful garden with a variety of flowers, shrubs, where you can barbecue and relax after a hard day of sightseeing. There you will also find a gazebo and a swing, both available to our guests.
Pond
We have two ponds, where you can try your hand at fishing (a rich variety of fish), but also swim in peace and quiet of the surrounding nature. There is a possibility to organize bonfires and spend quality time in the sheltered gazebo.
Tree stand
By the ponds you will also find a tree stand. We can spot the following birds:
- Lesser spotted eagle
- Western marsh harrier
- Buzzard
- Grey Heron
- White and black stork
It is the perfect place for a bloodless hunting (photography).
The facility allows watching wild animals through the installed high-resolution cameras.
In winter, we feed the forest animals near the tree stand and ponds. Our guests last winter were:
- a herd of 5 bison
- 18 doe
- 7 deer
- 2 foxes
- 2 hares
- 1 polecat
Winter in the forest
In winter enthusiasts of forest sleigh rides flock here. The surrounding forest routes are well suited to it. Sleigh drawn by a pair of horses is the best vehicle in the area in winter. You can admire the picturesque winter landscape, which also provides an unforgettable experience for cross-country skiers in the Białowieża Forest, local hiking trails and the Old Białowieża. We have therefore 6 pairs of skis for rent. We can organize guided tours in search of animal trails.
Hunting
The ?Relax” agritourism farm co-organizes hunts, thus nurturing the long-standing tradition of hunting. We invite for a hunt all those who dream of unusual experiences hunting interesting trophies, while staying in beautiful places in the forest close to nature. Our household regularly sees hunters from Germany, Austria, France, Norway and from all over Poland.
Photography
A large group of our guests are photography lovers. Drawing on our experience gained from animal watching, we willingly help in the selection of the best spots and share my insights. The outcomes can be viewed in the gallery on our website.
Teremiski and surrounds
The village where ?Relax? is located is surrounded by the Białowieża Forest National Park. Near the farm there are also two nature reserves: Ścisły Reserve and Livestock Show Reserve (Pol. Rezerwat Pokazowy Zwierząt). The Białowieża Forest is a woodland complex located in Poland and Belarus, of high natural and historical significance. It is the last natural forest of the European Lowlands. This forest, which was created without human intervention, has been undergoing natural ecological processes for thousands of years. At the same time, it is the only natural site in Poland on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Białowieża. town is considered to be the geographic centre of the forest. In the Białowieża Forest there are still preserved elements a primary forest. It is characterized by a wide variety of trees, with ages-old trees often reaching sizes unprecedented elsewhere.
Nearby you can visit the Old Białowieża range, considered the nucleus of today’s Białowieża. There is a nature trail called „The Trail of Royal Oaks and Grand Dukes of Lithuania”. We are strolling among ancient oaks, named by the originators of the trail – Ewa and Jacek Wysmułek, using the names of the Polish and Lithuanian rulers associated with the Forest. By every oak there is a label plate offering information about the tree and its „patron”. Not far away from „The Trail of Royal Oaks and Grand Dukes of Lithuania” are bonfire spots and shelters and ?The Bison Ribs Trail?.
Near the Old Białowieża runs the Podlaski Stork Trail. It leads to Narewka, Narew and further to the Narew and Biebrza National Parks.
In Białowieża we have a modern Białowieża National Park Museum. Multimedia and interesting exhibitions allow you to deepen your knowledge of the forest and its inhabitants. This is not a museum in the old style with stuffed birds. Paying a visit is a must!
Białowieża boasts an orthodox church considered to be the most beautiful in the Grodno region.
In the area of ??Białowieża you can also see the so called ?Place of Power?.
Taking rest in Białowieża you should also take advantage of attractions such as the Białowieża Express or the Forest Draisine Railway (human propelled). Both will allow you to explore the delights of the beautiful Białowieża Forest. We highly recommend visiting these places.
The Forest is famous for the largest population of freely living bison in the world, among the ungulates; except for bison we can also meet deer, roe deer, wild boar and a few elks.
In the area we can walk and revel in the beauty of the forest, and for those who like mushroom picking – collect a wide range of them (such as penny bun, bay bolete, leccinum, honey fungus, chanterelle, saffron milk cap or suillus). They can be dried afterwards. In the undergrowth we can come across raspberries or other goodness occurring there, which make healthy stocks for the winter.
